Lot Mowing Questions, Answered
Everything Tampa Bay lot owners ask us before hiring — pricing, lot sizes, code violations, access, and scheduling. Don't see your question? Call or text 727-644-9200, or send the address through the quote form and ask there. Either way, you'll hear back within 24 hours, usually the same day.
Pricing & Quotes
How much does lot mowing cost?
It depends on three things: lot size, how overgrown it is, and access. A half-acre lot with knee-high grass is a very different job than three acres of chest-high weeds behind a locked gate. That's why we quote every lot individually — and why our quotes are free and fast. Send the address and approximate size through the quote form and you'll have a number within 24 hours, usually the same day. No site visit needed, no obligation.
Do I have to meet you at the property for a quote?
No. We quote most lots remotely using the address and aerial imagery. You don't need to be there for the quote or for the mowing — many of our clients live out of town or out of state and have never met us in person. Send the address through the quote form and we'll handle the rest.
How fast can you get my lot mowed?
Quotes go out within 24 hours, and most jobs are completed within a few days of approval. If you're up against a code enforcement deadline, tell us the date on your notice when you request a quote — deadline jobs get priority scheduling.
How do I pay, and how do I know the work was done?
We accept card, check, and online payment. Every invoice includes dated before-and-after photos of the completed work — proof for your records, your HOA, or code enforcement. You never have to drive out to check.
Lot Sizes & Conditions
What lot sizes do you mow?
We mow everything from small lots up — vacant residential lots, multi-acre parcels, fields, and raw acreage to 50+ acres. If you're not sure of the size, just send the address; we can measure it from aerial imagery when we quote.
My lot is badly overgrown. Is it too far gone to mow?
Almost never. Waist-high grass, chest-high weeds, palmetto edges, light brush — our tractor-mounted rough-cut mowers are built for exactly that. Lots that would destroy a regular lawn crew's equipment are our normal Tuesday.
What equipment do you use?
Tractor-mounted rotary cutters — rough-cut mowers sized for lots and acreage — plus rigs for soft ground and 4x4-only access. It's equipment built for overgrown parcels, not a trailer of residential zero-turns.
Can you mow wet lots or lots with bad access?
Usually, yes. We run equipment for soft ground and 4x4-only access, so seasonal standing water or a rough entrance doesn't automatically mean waiting for dry season. Mention the access situation in your quote request and we'll factor it in — locked gates are fine too, just tell us how to get in.
Do you haul away debris or clear trash?
Mowing covers vegetation — grass, weeds, and light brush get cut and mulched in place. Scattered trash and dumped debris are a separate line item we can quote at the same time; just mention it (or include a photo) in your quote request so the number is accurate the first time.
Do you do land clearing?
No — we handle mowing and light brush. When a parcel has gone past overgrown into trees, stumps, and thick underbrush, that's full land clearing, which we don't take on.
Do you mow small residential lawns?
We're set up for lots and acreage, not weekly residential lawn care. If your property is a vacant lot, a large yard, a field, or held land — that's us. Send the address and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right fit.
Code Violations
I got an overgrown lot notice from code enforcement. What do I do?
Move fast — most notices give you a limited window before daily fines start. Text a photo of the notice and the property address to 727-644-9200, or send it with the quote form. We'll quote it the same day, prioritize the cut, and send you dated before-and-after photos you can submit as proof of compliance.
Will your work actually satisfy the county?
Yes. We work with lot-maintenance ordinances across the City of Tampa, City of St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and unincorporated Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Manatee counties. Whether your notice cites grass over 10 or 12 inches, we cut to compliant height and document it with dated photos. Repeat notices are common on vacant lots — a recurring schedule keeps you off the list permanently.
I live out of state and got a violation letter. Can you handle everything?
That's one of our most common jobs. You email or text us the notice, we quote from the address, you approve and pay online, we mow and send you the dated photos. Done — without you booking a flight. Start with the quote form and attach the notice.
Scheduling & Service Area
Should I do a one-time cut or a recurring schedule?
A one-time cut solves today's problem. But in Florida's growing season, a vacant lot is overgrown again in 4–8 weeks — which is how owners end up with a second code violation. A monthly or periodic schedule keeps the lot compliant year-round, and scheduled clients get priority routing and locked-in pricing. Ask for both numbers in your quote and compare.
Do you handle multiple lots or whole portfolios?
Yes — builders, developers, banks, and investors use us to keep entire lists of parcels compliant with one point of contact and one invoice. Send your lot list (addresses and approximate sizes) through the quote form or by email and we'll price the whole portfolio at once.
What areas do you serve?
All of Tampa Bay: every part of Pinellas County (St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Lealman, Gulfport, Seminole, Largo, Clearwater, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, East Lake), every part of Hillsborough County (Tampa, Town 'N' Country, Carrollwood, Lutz, Temple Terrace, Brandon, Seffner, Valrico, Riverview, Gibsonton, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Sun City Center, Wimauma, Lithia, FishHawk, Plant City), and Manatee County north of SR 70 (Palmetto, Ellenton, Parrish, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch north of 70). On the edge of the map? Send the address anyway — if we can't take it, we'll tell you fast.
